1. HUMBLE BEGINNING

While working as a Private Practice Physio, Dan Jones found himself constantly treating ailments caused by the wear of typical flat-soled flip flops.

Dan knew something needed to be done and he set out to create a, "normal looking," flip flops with similar support to an off-the-shelf orthotic.

Dan created the first prototypes in his “Nan and Pop’s shed.” With advice from Australia’s leading podiatrists and physiotherapists, Dan continues to iterate designs in his never-ending quest for perfection!

2. FLAT-SOLED FLIP FLOPS ARE RUINING YOUR FEET

• Don't Have Support: A lack of support can be a problem for all foot types. However, this problem is amplified for those with increased pronation.
• Increased Pronation: Alters the way that stress and strain are absorbed through the body, which can potentially lead to injury.
• Bad for High Arches: People with high arches are more likely to supinate (roll outwards) which can increase stress on the outside of the foot and leg.
• No Heel Elavation: Flat thongs do not have heel elevation. Elevation can reduce stress on the Achilles tendon and can reduce the likelihood of developing Achilles tendinosis.
• Plastic Straps: Typical thongs commonly have straps that are made out of hard plastic. This material can cause irritation and blisters and are prone to breakage.

3. REAL ARCH SUPPORT

Around 1 inch of orthotic arch support encourages optimal foot posture aiding whole body alignment. The arches are important to your foot and body function. They help you bear your body’s weight and propel you forward when you walk, run, or jump. If these arches have poor support and have flattened as a result of genetics, aging, wear-and-tear, or injury, you’ll suffer physical consequences.

4. NO PLUGS...NO PROBLEMS

Our ultra-strong one-piece design makes Archies Flip Flops extremely durable and less likely to blow out! Most other Flip Flops have loose straps. This means clawing / scrunching your toes down just to try them on. As a result the foot is susceptible to increased stress and strain which leads to damage
