Archies Flip Flops are intentionally designed with a snug, secure fit.
We recommend checking our size guide before ordering to ensure you select the best size for your foot length.
A closer fit helps keep your foot positioned correctly within the footbed so the arch contour sits where it’s intended.
It’s important to note that a small amount of heel overhang at the back of the flip flop is completely normal and not a concern. Many customers prefer this fit.
However, if your entire heel extends past the heel cup and rests heavily on the rim of the flip flop, the size may be too small.
As always, comfort is key — your flip flops should feel secure while allowing your foot to sit naturally within the footbed.

Archies Flip Flops are designed to fit slightly narrower than traditional flip flops.
This closer fit helps keep the foot secure within the sandal and allows the contoured footbed to sit in the intended position under your foot.
Most customers — including many with wider feet — find they can comfortably wear Archies once the straps are adjusted to suit their foot shape.
A small amount of side overhang can be normal, as shown below.

Archies Flip Flops are intentionally designed with a secure strap compared to many traditional flip flops.
A secure strap helps keep the flip flop in place as you walk, allowing for a more natural stride without the need to grip excessively with your toes.
Many customers love this feature because it allows them to walk comfortably for longer periods.
If the strap feels snug at first, this is normal. The material will gradually soften and adapt to your foot with wear.

While a secure strap is important for fit, it should never feel uncomfortable.
If your strap feels too tight, it can easily be adjusted.
Hold the strap between your fingers.

Gently stretch the areas that feel tight using small, controlled movements.
You can also gently stretch the toe post if needed.
This allows you to customize the fit to your preferred level of comfort.
Because Archies Flip Flops are designed differently from typical flat flip flops, they may feel different when you first try them on. This is normal as your feet adjust to the contoured design.
